Jorja Lucille Taff, 18, of Missoula Montana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18th, 2024.
She was born on September 23, 2005, in Moscow, Idaho to Ben and Miranda Taff. In her mother's words, “She is my child that is all rainbows and sunshine.” Her adorable dimple faced smile and ease of chatting with everyone made her instantly loved and adored by all who knew her. She was a talented artist and from an early age could be found drawing anime characters on her tablet. She took art throughout school making wonderful art pieces through different mediums. She had pieces of her artwork on display at school with one of her proudest accomplishments being the Octopus on the bulletin board at the Hellgate High school. She was involved in school sports from cheerleading to volleyball to basketball. In her junior year she found the sport she really loved, swimming. She started high school at Camdenton High School in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, transferred to Laramie Wyoming for the first half of her junior year and finally arrived in Missoula at Hellgate High School, making lasting friendships with other students and teachers along the way. She graduated in December and was accepted to start with Arizona State University in the fall. She planned to study graphic design. While waiting to start at ASU, she had jobs at both AMC and Starbucks. She developed many wonderful friendships with coworkers. In her free time, she loved to cook, do artwork, and build Lego sets, being fond of the Lego flower collection. She also liked anime and had been binge watching and reading the Demon Slayer series awaiting the new Demon Slayer movie with her amazing boyfriend Aidan.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Linda and Charles Taff and Great grandparents, Wes and Laura Nearing.
Survivors include her parents Ben and Miranda; Two sisters Ashlyn (Tyler) and Reignah; Brother, Isaac; Maternal grandparents Andy and Cheryl Nearing. She was also loved and adored by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Garden City Funeral Home on Saturday February 24, 2024. The viewing will take place from 12pm to 1 pm followed by the funeral service. In Lieu of fresh flowers and in memory of Jorja, the family asks that you bring your favorite Lego flowers.
