John A. Rhinehart Sr.

John A. Rhinehart Sr., 61, of Missoula, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at St. Patrick Hospital.

John was born in Helena in 1955 to George and Carol Rhinehart. He spent some time in Great Falls before moving to Missoula, where John graduated from Sentinel High School. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Seitz, in 1977. They raised three children together and enjoyed hunting and fishing as a family. Nothing surpassed the joy John found in his grandchildren or the pride he took in sharing his passion for the outdoors.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carolyn; his sons, John Rhinehart Jr., Patrick (Breezy) Rhinehart and Jason (Stephani) Rhinehart; brother, Daniel (Donna) Rhinehart; sister, Cathy (Bill) MacLaren; grandchildren, Hannah, Madison, Jackson, Katy, Jeremy, Piper and Payten; and great-grandson, Isaac. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Carol Rhinehart; and his uncle, Duane Rhinehart.

The family would like to thank St. Patrick Hospital, the Fresenius dialysis team, Dr. Lakatua and Nicole, Dr. Stenger and Dr. O’Brien for all their help and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s name to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Cremation has taken place and per John’s wishes, there will not be a service.
