Obituary for John Koch Jr.

MISSOULA - John Gregory Koch Jr., 86, of Missoula, passed away at his home on May 27, 2009. He was born in Wyoming, Pa., on July 31, 1922, the son of Florence Roselle and John Gregory Koch, Sr.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elfrieda “Freddie” Viehweg Koch. His family includes a brother, Dave Koch of New York; children, Sue Bergmeier of Missoula, Linda Carol of Spicewood, Texas, John S. Koch of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kristy B. DesRosier of Basin, Wyo., Tiva Solga of Napa, Calif. and John Eric Bergmeier of Missoula; and great-grandsons, James and Roger DesRosier of Basin.

Private services are planned. The family suggests that memorials be made to Habitat for Humanity, 725 W. Alder, Missoula, MT 59802. Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
