Joel James Eddy

It is with great sadness that the family of Joel announces his passing at the age of 85.

Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Virginia (Chafee) Eddy, his children Tom, Keith, Carla, Jeri Jo, Jimmy, Sandy, Mike, Linda, LeaAnn and Trudy. He also will be fondly remembered by his 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Josephine, his brothers Jim, Chuck and his sister Jenny. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Vickie and his sons Kent, Richard and Douglas.

Joe was in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955 where he served as a cook on board a ship. Later, he became an award winning semi-truck driver.

He lived in the Arlee area for 43 years, working as a truck driver, volunteered on the fire crew in Arlee, was a janitor at Arlee school and drove school bus.

There will be a potluck service held in his honor at the Arlee Community Center on Thursday, Feb. 22, 11 a.m..
