Joanne M. DeBruin

Missoula- JoAnne Merritt DeBruin age 84 of Missoula passed away on Sunday August 14, 2016 in Missoula at St. Patrick Hospital. She was born April 15, 1932 in Missoula, MT, a daughter of William George and Eleanor Palm Merritt. JoAnne attended school in Lake Chelan, WA and was raised by her favorite Aunt and Uncle Dorothy and Ernie Johnson graduating from High school in 1950. She married Lester DeBruin on June 10, 1951. JoAnne was a member of VASA, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Eagles Lodge, and the Foster Parent Association. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester, daughter Darla, and grandson Jonathon. She is survived by sons Dan DeBruin and Dave DeBruin (Lori Stuart); daughters Deb Debruin (Rick Hettick), Donna Wilson (Stan); 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 29, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory 1705 W. Broadway in Missoula with Rev. Chris Flohr officiating.
