Joan began her career in Portland before moving to Los Angles. While working in L.A. she met the love of her life, William Adams, and the couple was married; two children were born to this union. The couple moved from L.A. to Rainsford to Choteau to Polson, to Spokane and finally Missoula where they settled in 1969.
