MISSOULA - J.J. Anderson, passed away Friday, December. 19, 2008, at Missoula Community Medical Center from natural causes.
J. was born March 17, 1942 in Thompson Falls to Arthur and Annie Anderson. He resided in Thompson Falls for many years until going to work as a commercial painter in western Montana. In the late 1970s, he changed careers and went to work for Blackfoot Telephone Co. installing telephones and security systems until an injury forced his retirement. He also became a surrogate grandpa to the many children in his wife’s care when she operated a daycare from their home after she retired from her career. J. and Alice were married on July 16, 1976. She survives him at the family home.
J. is also survived by his daughter Cindy Burgee and her children Rodney and Dawn; his son Bobby and his partner Cathy; his son, Ronnie and his children J. Lee and Robert, and his daughter Anna and her child Christine. J. was also a great-grandpa to Damian, Skyler, Lucas and Kyle.
J.’s brother Earl and his wife Irene; brother Alva and his wife Eva; sister Rosie Neumeyer; and sister Esther Faulkner and her husband Walt; and his stepdaughters Cindy Wulfekuhle and Cathy Rathbun and their children Jamie and Craig and Mark also survive him.
Services for J. will be held on at 11 a.m. Monday, December. 29 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow in Sunset’s community room. J. loved to fish, so his ashes will be scattered at a later date at one of his favorite fishing spots.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Heart Association or Humane Society of Western Montana.
