Jesse Archibald Henderson, 96, a longtime resident of Hall, died Thursday, June 20th at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Archie was born Oct. 30, 1916 in Deer Lodge and lived most of his life on the family cattle ranch in the Flint Creek Valley. He attended school in New Chicago, Drummond and at Montana State University in Bozeman. He married Margaret Parker Bradshaw on Sep. 20, 1939 and raised a family of four children. They were also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He owned and worked on the family cattle ranch with his brother Joe until his retirement in 2002.
Survivors include his three sons, Richard (Janice) of Boise, ID., Jim (Merri) of Hall, Gordon (Sue) of Houston, TX. and his daughter Debbie of Lolo. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother, his beloved wife and his son-in-law, Pat Glennon.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church in Drummond at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 27. A viewing will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery in New Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be offered to the Patrick Glennon Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Drummond High School, 108 W. Edwards, Drummond, MT 59832. Please make checks payable to Drummond High School.
