MISSOULA – On June 5, 2013, at The Springs in Missoula, we lost a loving husband, father and grandfather, Jerry Lee Gall. He was born in Fort Benton on July 30, 1936, to Ethel and Alex Gall. He was the last of eight children, six boys and two girls. He grew up in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School.
Jerry married his high school sweetheart, Margaret R. "Margie" Clingan, in 1957.
While living in Great Falls they had three boys, Ron, Rod and Dan. The family moved to Missoula in 1970.
Jerry was a businessman here in Missoula for 30-plus years. He owned the Beef Eater, Grocery Boys and the Speak Easy Supper Club and Lounge.
He was an avid Grizzlies fan of both football and basketball. He had season tickets for both sports and rarely missed a game. They attended four national championship football games the Montana Grizzlies played in. Jerry was an avid golfer and played numerous times a week.
In his retirement, he and Margie spent time in the winter on North Padre Island enjoying the weather, the ocean and playing golf. They made many good and lasting friendships while there.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Missoula for its help. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at The Springs for their support and wonderful care.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Margie; three boys, Ron (Sandra) of Missoula, Rod of Las Vegas and Dan (Jan) of Missoula; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Brittany of Missoula; sister, Joyce Davis of New York; along with several step-grandkids; two step-great-grandkids; nieces and nephews; and special buddy, Rick Zimmer.
A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 830 South Ave. W. on Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m.
Garden City Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to Hospice of Missoula.
