Jerome V. Seitz

Jerome V. Seitz, 79, of Missoula, passed away Sunday Dec. 29, 2013 at his home.

He was born on November 29, 1934 in White Butte, SD to Frances and Valentine Seitz. Jerome later moved to Frenchtown, where he met the love of his life, Marilou Brester. They shared many great years together, where they had 4 girls, which they dedicated their lives to.

Jerome started working at the age of 7 where he began his great work ethics, working in numerous jobs throughout his life. Jerome was a respected electrician in Missoula as he worked his way into his final 12 years at Home Depot, a job he really loved. Jerome retired at the age of 78, and his advice to all he spoke to was to do the things you want to do in life now, don't wait for retirement, as he never got a chance to do anything he wanted to do. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and traveling to N.C. to visit Debbie and her family, which he loved to do. He also loved to see his grandchildren and reminiscing about old times. He had many stories to tell.

Jerome was a very loving and caring man; not only to his family, but to anyone he met. He had many friends that loved him and he loved in return.

Jerome is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilou, sister Clara, sister-in-law Nora Stephens and his parents. He leaves behind a large family including 4 daughters, Karen, Missoula, Debbie (Richard) North Carolina, Cindy (Mike), Missoula, Trina (Dolan), Missoula. His grandchildren that he adored, Linda, Rachelle, Randy, Christy, Josh, Matt, Mandy, Amber, his best buddy Brandon, Christian and Angel and several great grandchildren. He also leaves a supportive and loving brother-in-law Gene Stephens.

Viewing will be from 10:00 – 11:00 prior to the services scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2013, at 11:00 at Sunset Funeral Home 7405 Mullan Rd. Missoula, MT, 59808. Burial will follow at Sunset cemetery.
