Jenny B. Dery

Jenny B. Dery, 83, passed away at her home in Missoula on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Jenny was born July 26, 1931, to Guisseppi and Barbara Maltese in Dearborn, Michigan.

Jenny grew up in Michigan finishing school there and then marrying Paul H. Dery on July 15, 1950. Together they raised nine children, spending many of those years in Florida. In the late '70s they then moved to Montana.

Jenny was a wonderful Italian homemaker. She loved nothing more than being at home with her family. She loved to crochet, sew and enjoyed flowers and music but her favorite was cooking for her family. Her family meant everything to her and she enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jenny is preceded in death by her husband Paul; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Delilah and her parents.

Survivors include her nine children, Daniel Dery and Paula Schroeder, both of Missoula, Norma Dery of Florida, Robert Dery, Laura Marino, David Dery, Sharon Monaco, Patricia Monaco, all of Missoula and Joanne Ogden of Texas; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary service will be held Sunday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at Holy Shroud Church, 204 Clyde in East Missoula with Mass on Monday, July 14, at 9 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Stevensville.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Holy Shroud Church in memory of Jenny.
