Jeffery Benton Davis, 63, passed away on December 27, 2023 in Missoula with his family and friends by his side. Jeff was born May 17, 1960 in Mesa Arizona to Charles (Chuck) Davis and Carol Gray.
Jeff grew up across multiple states but settled primarily in Montana. He married Belany (Tonii) Davis and enjoyed 23 years with the love of his life. She came with two children who Jeff easily took on as his own, adoring them with every fiber of his being.
Jeff was the calm to a storm, always able to offer perspective, reasoning, and peace to any problem that one came to him with. He built a life he was proud of, fully and authentically himself with no apologies. He had an uncanny ability for adopting friends from all walks of life, never meeting a stranger.
Family and friendship were the centers of everything Jeff did in life. You would often find him pouring over genealogical records, fascinated with connections going back hundreds of years. In his downtime, he could be found reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, attending music festivals with his children, introducing people to his eclectic tastes, and watching videos of how things were made. He was ever the tinker who could fix nearly anything he found.
Jeff was preceded in death by his wife Belany (Tonii) Davis in 2017; as well as his brother, nephew, and several dear friends over the years.
Left to carry on his legacy of care, love, charity, and community are his children, son-in-law, siblings, grandchildren, father, mother, and numerous extended family both blood and adopted.
A memorial service has not yet been determined.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Jeff to the American Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
