Jeffery Lynn "Jeff" McCleary

Jeffery Lynn "Jeff" McCleary 55, left his family to be with Jesus on Monday, August 19, 2013. Jeff was born in Cambridge, Ohio to Harry and Kathleen McCleary.
Jeff attended Canyonview Bible College in Silverton, Oregon. Jeff gained a love for God's Word and loved to read, study and teach the Greek New Testament.
After seminary Jeff moved to Western Montana where he held several jobs, including working as an outfitter in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. On August 2, 1991 Jeff married his best friend, love of his life, Melodye. He embraced this widow and her three daughters with open arms. Jeff and Melodye recently celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary.
Jeff was admired for his wit, wisdom, determination. He was a great listener and nothing else mattered when you were talking to him.
He was proud to have come back from congestive heart failure several years ago with his dedication to diet, exercise and information acquired from Knowthecause.com. He was a strong example to us all.
Jeff devoted his time to his family, teaching the Bible and touching countless lives. He owned his own business and was also employed as a Water and Wastewater Technical Assistant. Jeff enjoyed his trade and the people he worked with. He was respected for his knowledge in his field of work and his relentless determination to help people when needed.
He is survived by his wife, Melodye; parents, Harry and Kathleen McCleary; sisters Karen (Bob) Harris, Linda (Gary) Uhler; daughters, Angela (Jason) Herriot, Melissa (Alan) Riley, Megan Himber, Dani Kay; grandchildren, Nick, Brett, Sean and Natalie. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jeff will always remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed. He is in a better place.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lolo Community Church with a reception to follow.
Garden City Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
