MISSOULA – James "Mick" Janzer, 25, of Missoula, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 25, 2013. He was born on Dec. 23, 1987, to Tom Janzer and Suzie Walsh in Great Falls. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, graduating from Great Falls High School in 2006. He graduated from the University of Montana in 2012 with a B.A. in english, film and entertainment management. Mick was employed at Best Buy in Missoula.
He was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners, Sounders, Seahawks, and the Griz. Mick loved attending Mariners games at Safeco Field, vacationing with his family and watching movies. He was the funniest person I ever knew.
Mick's survivors include his mom, Suzie Walsh, brothers, Matt and Sean, all of Missoula. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom, who passed away last Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
Other survivors include, Mike (Joan) Walsh, Barbara (Robert) Remus of Great Falls, Babe (Bill) Hoppes of Portland, Ore., M. Joyce Hurley (Bill) of Brady, Redmond (Peggy) Janzer of Kalispell and Rich (Connee) Janzer of Great Falls. He left behind numerous cousins throughout Montana, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Texas. Cremation has taken place through the Garden City Funeral Home in Missoula.
A celebration honoring Mick and his dad will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3 at the Canyon Club in Washington-Grizzly Stadium, the University of Montana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: James Janzer Memorial Account, Missoula Federal Credit Union, (406) 532-3300, missoulafcu.org.
