James A. Ippisch, 77, of Missoula, passed way Tue. Jan 8, 2013 and is now at home with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was born Feb. 25, 1935 in Polson, MT to Albert and Alice Adeline Ippisch. He grew up on the family farm north of Lonepine, MT along with his sister, Ina, and 2 brothers, Lester and Charles.
James served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958. After he retired from the Forest Service, James worked at the 4 B's Restaurant on North Reserve in Missoula. He enjoyed the restaurant because he liked to help and be of service to others.
James married Carol E. Hughes on May 29, 1960 in Lonepine, MT. They were blessed with two children, Julie and Darrin. James was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Adeline and by his 2 brothers, Lester and Charles. James is survived by his wife Carol, his children Julie Sagissor of Miles City, MT and Darrin (Mary) Ippisch of Superior, MT, two granddaughters, Jessica Sagissor of Missoula and Hunter Sagissor of Helena, and his sister, Ina (Al) Freidt of Kalispell, as well as nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Jim will be remembered by his family for his compassionate caring nature and for his love of family. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 11, at 12:noon at the Lonepine Community Hall. Burial with military honors will follow at the Murray Memorial Cemetery in Lonepine. A potluck luncheon will follow back at the Community Hall.
