James 'Bones' Goldade, 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, April 2nd at his home in Seeley Lake from a heart attack.
He was born January 29, 1951 in Linton, ND the sixth of eight children born to Joseph and Magdalena (Zacher) Goldade.
In 1973 he married Lavonne Landsberger and their first son Jeremy James was born in North Dakota. Upon moving the family to Seeley Lake, MT their second son Christopher John was born. The couple later divorced. James started his career at Pyramid Mountain Lumber Company in 1975 and worked there until his retirement in 2014. He was a valued employee during his 40 years at Pyramid where he worked many different positions, excelling at being a forklift operator.
James enjoyed small engine repairs, carpentry work which included building his home in Seeley Lake as well as helping friends and family with odd side jobs. He liked watching NASCAR races and old western movies, reading books, completing cross word puzzles and hanging out with his buddies at one of the local watering holes. Free time was spent riding his custom Harley Davidson and rolling down the top and cruising around in his Mustang convertible. James also looked forward to his annual summer trips back to North Dakota to visit family.
James was preceded in death by his brothers Mike and Alvin; parents Joseph & Magdalena Goldade and his grandparents Maryann & John Zacher and Anna & Ferdinand Goldade.

His grandchildren will miss the small candy left unexpectedly by the front door when returning home and the hand delivered pack of gum or candy from Grandpa Jim each time seeing him. This was the same gesture his mother would do for his own boys many years ago when visiting her in North Dakota. James took great pride in watching his boys grow into men and cherished his grandchildren.
