Obituary for James Richard Frohlich

With friends and family by his side James Richard Frohlich went home to the Lord on January 19th, 2018. Jim was born September 23, 1935 in Lewistown, MT. He was the second oldest of five children to Donald and Margaret Frohlich. He attended St. Leos Catholic High School. Following graduation, he served in the Army and was a supply clerk during the Korean War in 1954-1955. After serving his country he graduated from the College of Great Falls in 1962 with a degree in Business Accounting.
Jim met and married the love of his life Beverly Ann Wishart on August 17th, 1963 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Twin Falls, Idaho. In the early 1970’s Jim and Bev started their first credit bureau business in Butte, Montana. From Butte, they expanded to include businesses in Billings, Sheridan, Gillette, Boise and Missoula. He built his businesses with a strong work ethic, loyalty, and sincere care and compassion for his employees. He had the highest integrity and supported his community generously, much of which was anonymous.
Jim had many passions in life. He enjoyed running, skiing, fishing and attending all Grizzly Sporting events. He spent summers with loved ones at his family cabin on Flathead lake. Jim was faithfully involved in the Catholic Church at St. Ann’s in Bonner, and attended daily mass at St. Francis Xavier in Missoula.
With all his business accomplishments, dad’s greatest love was his faith and family. He loved attending his kids and grandkids activities. Watching Griz Football, Men and Lady Griz Basketball (daughter (Jill) played for the Lady Griz and granddaughter (Kylie) will play in 2019), and a loyal fan of the Missoula Osprey and the Chicago Cubs.
Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister Shirley Winters. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; five children Shannon Alvarado (Jim) Portland OR, Mark Frohlich (Colleen) Missoula, MT, Jill Frohlich Portland OR, Paul Frohlich (Sarah) Kellogg, ID and Joe Frohlich (Margaret) Helena, MT; fourteen grandchildren; and brothers Don Frohlich (Shirley) Billings, John Frohlich (Marylin) Gig Harbor, WA and Paul Frohlich (Marjorie) Tacoma, WA.
