James Cosmo Fragnito, 63, of Missoula, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015. He was born on February 26, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MN, to John and Minnie Fragnito. He moved with his family to Missoula in 1960 and attended St. Anthony's and Jefferson. In 1971 he graduated from Sentinel High School. He eventually bought and operated the 10th Street Tavern until he retired in 2003. He was married to Sherry Snook for 37 years, raised two children and had three grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and more who enriched the life of each of his friends and relatives. He enjoyed watching wildlife, hunting, fishing, and looked forward to the annual get together with his friends at the cabin on Lake Inez, and enjoyed going to the car show with his son. He is preceded in death by his father, John Fragnito in 1983. Survivors include his mother, Minnie Fragnito, Missoula, his wife, Sherry, Missoula; his son, Jimmy Fragnito, his daughter and three grandchildren, Shanna (Bill) Johnson, Gabriel, Ashley, and Amanda, Spokane; one sister, Josi (Richard) Fragnito-Lira, Merced, CA; two brothers, John (Gay) Fragnito, Chelan, WA, Bee (Lorraine) Fragnito, Stevensville, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Garden City Funeral home. Reception will follow at Garden City. Memorial donations can be made to the Missoula Cancer Society.
