Obituary for Jackilyn M. Jordan (Geyer)

Jackilyn Marion "Jackie" Geyer Jordan was born on May 24, 1963, in Missoula. She died of natural causes on the morning of Friday, Feb. 6, 2015. Her parents are Sharilyn Britton Geyer and Jack Geyer of Missoula.

Jackie was the first born of five children. When she was 5 years old, she was joined by her sister Rachel Joy and they became little buddies. Five years later her brother David was born and Jackie bonded to him and was a wonderful big sister and she forever loved him. Next came Karen (K.K.) her little princess with the blonde, blonde hair. Last of all came baby brother Dane who provided much entertainment and laughter with his cute little antics.

Jackie was an early reader, and she loved to read. Jackie loved animals and at the age of 3 she received a Shetland pony named Yankee Doodle. At the age of 4 she rode her pony in the Creamery Picnic Parade with her daddy walking beside her all the way. She attended kindergarten at the Hamilton Assembly of God Church and when the family moved to Missoula, she attended Sunday School at the little German-speaking church on 12th Street where she learned to sing in German and won her first Bible. She continued her education at local schools and later attended Shiloh College and the University of Montana.

Jackie was always kind and friendly and found the good in everyone. She had an indwelling faith in the Lord. We will miss you, sweetheart. She is survived by parents Sharilyn and Jack Geyer; siblings, Rachel Geyer of Belchertown, Massachusetts, David Geyer (Holly) of Phoenix, Arizona, Karen Geyer (Ryan Price) of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Dane Geyer (Melissa) of Covington, Louisiana, and nieces and nephews, Vincent Grimaldi, Rebekkah Grimaldi, Eric Geyer, Kristen Geyer, Grant Geyer and Jack Geyer. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held at Garden City Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, with a reception following. Pastor Jim Cargill will be officiating. The family would like to thank our cousin Cara Britton for all of her help.
