Jack Owen Dukleth, 72, of Missoula, MT, died Wednesday, 1 July 2015 at Hillside Manor Missoula.
Born on, August 13, 1942, in Seattle, WA, he was the son of the late Doris Francis (Munter) Dukleth formerly of Kalispell, MT and the late Owen Robert (Bud) Dukleth formerly of Kalispell, MT.
Mr. Dukleth graduated from Flathead County High School in 1961 and graduated from Northern Montana College in 1963. Following college he enlisted in the Army where he worked as a photogrammetrist stationed in Japan, Virginia, and Hawaii.
Following his military service he returned to Kalispell with the U.S. Forest Service and also met his future wife. Together they moved to Missoula, MT where he was principally employed as a cartographer/photogrammetrist with the Missoula Blueprint Company
Mr. Dukleth's principle interests in his spare time over his lifetime were skiing, hiking, woodworking, welding, metal working, antique engines, and collecting/restoring antique cast iron toys.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenda Erleen (Johnson) Dukleth, daughter of the late Harry Edward Johnson formerly of Whitefish, MT and the late Clara Elizabeth (Stubbs) formerly of Kalispell, MT.
Jack Owen is survived by one son, Anthony Owen of Missoula, MT; four siblings, Fred Robert of Bissell rural area near Whitefish, MT, Richard Martin and his wife Rozanne Marie (Aamoth) of Helena, MT, David Lowell (Dave) and his wife Sherry Lynn (Waterbury) of Dayton, NV, and Janice Diane (Dukleth) Braaten and her husband Gordon A. Braaten of Lake Stevens, WA.
Jack Owen was preceded in death by one son, Martin Kyle of Missoula, MT; four grandparents, Victor Munter of Kalispell, Flathead, MT, Paul Martin Dukleth of Bissell rural area near Whitefish, MT, Clara Tomina (Christopherson) Munter of Kalispell, MT, and Bertha (nmi) (Wollan) Dukleth of Bissell rural area, MT.
No services are planned. Cremation and private internment at Conrad Memorial Cemetery, Kalispell are planned. The family expresses their thanks to the staff and management at Hillside Healthcare Center and St. Patricks Hostpital of Missoula, MT for their efforts in caring for Mr. Dukleth during his final days."
