Obituary for Jack M. Campbell

Jack M. Campbell, beloved husband and father passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at St. Patrick Hospital.

Jack was born in Malta on Dec. 4, 1927. He graduated from Malta High School in 1946 and immediately went to work for the Great Northern Railroad, retiring from that same railroad after 42 years. From October 1950 to October 1952 he served in the Army in Korea. He and Beathe Vikse were married in Havre on Dec. 26, 1959.

A vigil service was held on May 20 at the Garden City Funeral home with Father Jim Hogan officiating.

A memorial Mass was held at St. Anthony church at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. with Father Michael Drury officiating. The Mass was followed with graveside services at 5:30 p.m. with Patrick Campbell, a nephew, officiating, which included military honors for his service in the Korean War.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Walt and Colin. He is survived by his wife Beathe of Missoula; a son Morry of New York; a daughter Cindy Hoselton of Fargo, North Dakota, a daughter Teresa of Richland, Washington, and a daughter Karia of Missoula; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Jack's name to Hospice of Missoula or the Missoula Food Bank.
