Holly Jean Quillen, 56, of Missoula, passed away peacefully in her home on September 18th, 2018 of natural causes.
She was born on May 3rd, 1962 in Helena to Carolyn Marie Baertsch and Alan Dallas Gordon. She was born and
raised in Helena, MT. She graduated from Capitol High School in 1980. She married Troy Moore and later seperated
after having her first daughter in 1981.
On January 7th, 1984 she married Gene Quillen in Helena Mt and later moved to Missoula, MT where she worked as a
cake decorator for a number of years. She then had her other two daughters Sara and Kalie. Her and Gene were married
for 34 years at the time of her passing. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and was so proud of her children
and grandchildren. She had an amazing ability to find humor in all of the hard times that life threw at her. Her sense of
humor lives on in her three children and all of the stories she left behind.
She had a strong passion for saving animals and her two dogs were some of her best friends. She made it a point to help homeless
pets find loving homes and when they did, it brought happiness to her heart. She enjoyed laughing and spoiling her
grandchildren. Reading was one of her favorite pastimes and her kindle was never far away.
Holly was proceeded in death by: Mischele Hay (sister), Alan Dallas Gordon (father), Carolyn Turcotte (mother), and her
precious grandbaby who was lost during pregnancy.
Survivors include, her husband Gene Quillen, daughter Crystal (Marcello) DiBerardinis, her daughter Sara Jean Quillen,
her daughter Kalie (Jackson) Brittner, her father Jim Turcotte, her sister Teresa (Mike) Vulk and brother Dave Gordon.
Other survivors include her six grandchildren: Eirelynn, Elliana and Mateo (Crystal), LilleeAnna (Sara), Marlee and Gene
(Kalie) along with her many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, September 24th at 3:00 pm at the Hope Baptist Church where Pastor Dan Taylor will be
officiating. A reception will follow. Donations can be made to the Humane Society of Western Montana in Holly's name. Arrangements are under the care of garden City Funeral Home.
