Obituary for Helen Elizabeth Infield

Helen Elizabeth Infield, 90, of Helena, Montana passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at the Beehive in Missoula.

Helen was born on June 15, 1928, in Hominy, Oklahoma to Earl and Bessie Copeland. She grew up on her family farm. As a young girl she loved riding horses and herding the neighbor’s cows. She also had a passion for baking and cooking.

Helen graduated in 1946 from Hominy High.

On November 30th, 1946, she married the love of her life Perry Nathen Infield. The couple lived in Oklahoma until moving to Montana in February 1955. After living in Missoula and Bozeman they settled in Helena, where she worked at Helena Hardware, Brown’s Sports and as a bank teller until she retired at age 50.

Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, fishing, camping, and traveling.



After retiring they wintered in Arizona for 7 years. They were involved in the Holiday Rambler Club and the Capital Carriage Club.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she also took great and loving care of her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Karen, and husband Perry.

Survivors include her daughter Glenda (Claude) Tillotson of Missoula; grandson Robert (Lela) Tillotson; great-grandchildren, Leighanne and Robby of Frenchtown; granddaughter Jaime (Shawn) Spencer of Hauser, Idaho; Niece Pam (Dr. David) Smith of Belton, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at the Sunset Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 10th at 1PM followed by a reception at the Silver Star Steak Company’s Governors room in Helena, Montana.
