Helen Lambros Bourlakas of Missoula, passed away on the Feast of Pentecost Sunday, June 4, 2017, of natural causes, at the Village Senior Residence. She was surrounded by her two brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews who along with Fr. Rob Spalitsos, chanted hymns and prayers of thanksgiving for her life.

She was born in Missoula on Sept. 22, 1929, to devoted and loving parents, Peter and Demetra Lambros.

Helen graduated from Missoula County High School and the University of Montana, earning a degree in Business Administration. During her college years she was a member of Spurs and Sigma Kappa Sorority. After graduation, Helen became the secretarial assistant to Ted Smith, then Dean of the UM Business School. She served in this capacity for five years.

Helen married Angelo Bourlakas and together they began a lifelong partnership in marriage and business operating Angelo's Men's Wear in downtown Missoula. Angelo became employed by Champion Pants Co. and the couple moved to Los Angeles. At that time Helen became employed as secretary at the general headquarters of Sav-on-Drug Stores. After leaving Save-on-Drug Co. she became personal assistant to Howard Drollinger at Drollinger Properties in Weschester, California.

In 1994, Helen and Angelo moved back to Missoula to operate Angelo's in Southgate Mall, a successful men's clothing store specializing in fine quality men's clothing and furnishings. After Angelo's passing, the business was sold and Helen began her life of well-earned retirement.

Helen was a beautiful and vivacious woman, possessing an effusive and glowing personality. She was definitely in charge of her life, always spoke her mind, was funny and had a great sense of humor. Helen was loved and admired by her family and friends. In turn, she deeply loved her family and cherished her friends.
