Heidi Ann Olson drew people to her wherever she went. Her beautiful, genuine smile, buoyant personality and quick-witted sense of humor created new friends out of strangers, while her easygoing, loving and loyal nature created bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Heidi was born March 28, 1981, in Choteau. She lived in Great Falls for much of her life before moving to Missoula to graduate from Sentinel High School in 1999, and attend the University of Montana. She was an excellent student and enjoyed music, drama and making new friends. In 2010 she gave birth to a daughter, Ella Mae, who became the center of her world. Heidi was an attentive, patient, dedicated mom whose every thought was the love and care of her daughter. For the past seven years, she worked at Title Services, Inc. as an administrative assistant. She knew her fiancé Cole from high school and they began their relationship in September 2012. They quickly set up a happy, loving home where friends, neighbors and the neighborhood kids were always welcome. Heidi was a social butterfly who loved barbecues, evenings out with friends, Griz games and upbeat music. It cannot be said enough how much affection and kindness Heidi showed to her family and friends. Her generosity of spirit infused everything she did, and when she began her long battle with the cancer that took her, it was that same spirit that inspired those she loved to come alongside her to provide the support and encouragement she needed.
Heidi Ann Olson, age 34, passed away the evening of Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Community Hospital. Heidi leaves behind her daughter Ella Mae Overton; fiancé Cole Reich; parents, Barbara (Jeff) Marquez and Jon (Karen) Olson; brothers, Austin Johns, Cody, Chris and Wyatt Olson; sisters, Holly Rossmiller and Anne Olson; grandmother Donna DeVinney as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
