One of the best storytellers' own story ended February 6, 2022. Gary Wolff was a master storyteller, always keeping his audience on the edge of their seats wondering if it was real or if the punch line was just around the corner. His family and friends would always look forward to his next big story. He had a great sense of humor and loved “pulling your leg”.
Gary was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota and grew up primarily in Eastern Montana. He graduated from Broadus High School and then went to college in Miles City, Montana until he enlisted in the Army. He served in Korea during the Vietnam War.
Upon his return Gary moved his young family to California where they lived until they relocated to Missoula where he lived out the remaining years of his life.
Gary loved Montana for it’s wide open skies and great outdoor recreation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and just going for drives. His all time favorite pastime was listening to music.
He will always be remembered for his floor-to-ceiling collection of CDs on his hand made CD shelves. To say he loved music is an understatement!!
He was preceded in death by his father Aubrey Wolff, his stepdad Orliss Karlson and just this last year, his dear mother, Norma Karlson.
His survivors are his step mother Norma Wolff, his former wife Karin Wolff, his two daughters Kim Williams and Jennifer (Brian) Speer, his six granddaughters Becky Sharbono, Holly (Jeremy) Hunter, Hanna Speer, Abigail Speer, Megan Speer, and Amber Speer, and his two great grandchildren Kinsley Hunter and Camden Hunter.
A Celebration Of Life for Gary will be April 9, 2022, 1:00 pm at the Eagles Lodge in Missoula, Montana where we will be the ones telling the great stories of Gary Wolff–father, brother, uncle and friend.
