Gary W Larson

Gary W. Larson was born October 25, 1933 to Henry and Donna Larson. He passed away September 25, 2017 at St. Patrick Hospital from pancreatitis.

He spent most of his life in Missoula and was very proud of being a true Montanan.

He married Diane Wolfe in 1964. They had two sons, Gerry and Darren. He worked for the NPRR and continued on with the BNRR and MRL, retiring as an engineer in 1995.

He married Mary Kimmel in 1994 in Port Angeles, Texas. He loved spending time with family, camping, fishing, riding his Harley and solving world problems with his coffee drinking friends at Ruby’s.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, sister Darlene and son Darren. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Gerry (wife Sandy) Larson; stepchildren John (wife Brenda) Kimmel, Teresa Englund (partner Scott Gould), Mike Kimmel (and Carrie), Tammy (husband Scott) Zetterberg; grandchildren Greg and Mike Larson; great grandchildren Robby and Zayla; 16 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren and dog, Sofie.

A memorial service will be held at Garden City Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11am with a reception to follow. After the reception, he will take his last Harley ride with his son Gerry to Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
