Gary Gene Claussen son of, Gene and Berdeen (Smith) Claussen, was born June 15, 1952 in Holdrege, Nebraska. He graduated high school and did a little bit of everything, but his favorite was driving truck on the open road. Gary had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved the road, hunting and photography. He was the epitome of “give someone his shirt off his back” to help someone. Gary was compassionate, hardworking, sensitive, stubborn at times but had a good sense of humor. No matter what he did, he did it to the extreme. Through all his life struggles, he always said, “God is Good!”
Gary was very proud of his family and their accomplishments. He loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren. Gary was a devoted father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: son, Jason (Holly) Claussen; daughter, Nicole Claussen; grandchildren: Millie Claussen and Bode Claussen; Konstanze and Nevaeha White; siblings: Sherry (Mic) Pertile; Cory (Ginger) Claussen; Denise (Kevin) Anders; step-children: Amanda (Alan) Zeiler; Brian (Marlena) Weber; Angelyn (Joshua) Conat; Brandon (Rachelle) Weber; step-grandchildren: Drew, Trevor, Bo, Faith, and Aly Zieler; Kelli Wurth; Tanner and Madison Weber; Aleana Griffith; Conner Conat; nephews, Andrew and Matthew Claussen; extended family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Berdeen Claussen.
