– Gary Peter Anton, age 64, of Missoula, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015. Gary was the son of Joseph A. and Dorothy (Metz) Anton in Dickinson, North Dakota, born on April 24, 1951. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 1969 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
Gary completed Western Technical College in Englewood, Colorado, and CDL Training at Dickinson State. He worked with his uncle Helmuth, at his company, Mettler Construction in North Dakota before moving to Missoula to work with Dennis, at Berger Trucking and later owned Gary Anton Trucking.
Gary enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, driving truck and spending time with ShyAnne, Amanda and family. Gary is survived by three daughters, ShyAnne and Amanda of Missoula and Anita of Dickinson; brothers, Jerry of Silverthorne, Colorado, Bill (Mona) of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Keith of Dickinson; and sisters, Gloria Horton of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Dolores of Silverthorne; sister-in-law Marina of San Diego, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joseph S. and brother-in-law Greg Horton.
All are invited to the celebration of Gary's life at Missoula Manor at 909 W. Central Ave. on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m.
