Gail Denise Lancaster, age 64, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at St. Patrick Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Gail was born July 3, 1951, to Walter (Wally) Jacob Beier and Nola Erroldine Beier in Missoula. She graduated from Sentinel High School in 1970, then attended classes at the University of Montana. In November 1973 fellow officer Al Baker introduced her to her soon to be husband, Gary. They were married two years later on May 24, 1975. After years of trying, they welcomed their only son Bret in 1983.
Gail loved to help others and was always there to care for them when needed. She volunteered at Community Medical Center for eight years. With Gary's military involvement, she belonged to WMOAA and even served as head of the Family Outreach during Desert Storm for the units deployed from Montana. She was also a member of PEO. She always loved to get away to the family cabin located in the Rocky Mountain Front and watching God's creations wandering through the yard.
Preceding her in passing is her father Wally Beier and grandparents Errol and Elta Smith.
She is survived by her ever loving husband, Gary Richard Lancaster; son Bret Richard Lancaster; stepdaughters, Paula Ann Lupi (husband Pete) and Amy Christine Jeske (husband Michael); grandchildren, Tabitha Marie, Cody Wyatt and Garrett Wayne Lupi, lan Jeske, and soon to be Emalisa Marie Denise Lancaster; her mother Nola Beier and brother Blake Beier and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Garden City Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to a charity of your choice.
