Frank David Flores, 64, of Missoula, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. Patrick Hospital, of an 8-year battle with cancer.
Frank was born on September 6, 1953, in Hamilton, to Florentino “Shorty” Flores and Dorothy Young Running Crane. As a young a boy he lived and graduated in Hamilton. While in High School he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. He was a basketball legend in Hamilton. He was kind-hearted and loved his family and friends.
On September 4, 1999, Frank married Cindy May in Coeur d’Alene, ID. The couple lived in Missoula. He last worked at Big Sky High School for 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy, Missoula; son Brandon Flores, step-sons Jason (Kaley) Jenkins and Aaron (Selena) Snare, one sister, Mary Byrne (Mike); one brother Darrell Flores (Angela); four nieces, Lalita LaTray (Jim), Michell Rodriguez (Jorge), Trisha Reddig (Bill) and Christal Bickford along with numerous great nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Dorothy Flores.
A Celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 1:00 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Grant Creek Inn in Missoula. Arrangements have been under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
