; Francis T Carroll, 88, of Missoula, passed away Thursday Oct 24, 2013 at Providence Medical Center of natural causes.
Frank was born November 28, 1924, in Townsend, Montana, to Everett and Katherine Carroll. He grew up there attending grade school through high school. In the 1941, He joined the Navy, fought in the South Pacific during WWII at the battle of Pelieu, after the war he joined the reserves for 12
years.
On October 1, 1949, He married Mittie M. Smith in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho. The couple traveled working different jobs until 1964, when they moved to Missoula. He worked for Washington Construction for 27 years, retiring in 1991.
Frank was a private person who enjoyed raising a few cattle and tinkering with cars. He had a great personality and enjoyed a good joke.
Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Miller, Mother, Katherine Carroll, and his Father, Everett Carroll.
He is survived by his wife, Mittie Carroll, daughter, Glenda Carroll, grandchildren
Kattie Schwartz, Jessica Carroll, nephew, John (Margaret) Miller and many other relations.
We would like to thank the Nursing staff on the 4th floor Providence Hospital for taking such good care of Dad through His illness.
A Memorial Service for Frank will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home followed by Military Honors.
Donations may be made to Partners Hospice.
