FRANCINE DONNA DAVIS, 68, died Tuesday August 13th from cancer in Missoula, Montana.
She was 2nd eldest of 5 siblings born to the late Anthony and Mary Lallo, Oct 24, 1944 in Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Birmingham high school in Van Nuys Ca. in 1962. She worked as a nursing assistant while in high school and up until she received her LVN/LPN. She dedicated over 30 years to nursing homes in San Fernando Valley, California, Las Vegas, Nevada and Grand Forks, North Dakota. She went back to school in the late 80s and graduated with her BS in nursing and Health Care Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1991. She was licensed as an RN and an Administrator from that point forward. She held various positions in the nursing field from surgical nurse to private pulmonary practice office nurse to ADON and DON in skilled nursing facilities. She spent the last 10 years of her professional career as a case manager for Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks, ND.
Having dedicated her entire life to caring for others, she lived life as an amazing role model to her daughter and grand children. Every year she donated financially to Easter Seals, Great Plains Food Bank, VFW, Toys for Tots, American Lung Association, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, and St Jude's Children Research Foundation. She was actively involved in Special Olympics for 8 years helping fundraise at the annual car wash and engaging her grandchildren as special Olympic partners in all the games; she worked annually to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer's, American Diabetic Association and Relay for Life supporting her daughter as a cancer survivor. Her tough exterior was used to lead an extraordinary life as a patient advocate and a professional woman. She will be remembered as a woman with amazing means to get the job done and the softest of hearts. Her smile lit up every room she entered and her hugs and kisses were genuine. She lived life for her daughter, her 3 grand children and her patients. She wanted to travel but ran out of time. Her dream was a trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, gamble on the French Riviera and a cruise to Alaska.
She is survived by her daughter Tambarlee of Missoula MT; 3 grandchildren Jacqualynn, Nicholas and Jessica Mercer all of Grand Forks. Brothers Anthony (Mamie)Lallo; Michael (Barbara) Lallo; Ronald Lallo; and half brother Vince (Debra) Mastro; a large list of beautiful cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Robert Davis in 1996, her father Anthony in 1977 and mother Mary in 2011, her sister Toni in 2010, and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier "Louie" 2010.
