Frances L. De Leonardo Therriault, 90, of Missoula, passed away June 26, 2015, at St. Patrick Hospital of heart complications.
Frances was born March 28, 1925, in St. Louis to Frank De Leonardo and Lucille Montrose.
On Aug. 30, 1951, she married Frank Gerald Therriault in San Francisco. They adopted daughter Gaitane in the 1970s and lived in California for many years before coming to Montana in 1992.
She worked as a waitress at the famous "Papa Gayo Room" in San Francisco and was a proud member of the Waitresses Union Local 48. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and golfing with her husband Frank. Fran also enjoyed playing cards weekly with friends locally. She had a flare for decorating and planting flowers in her yard in the summer months.
Frances went camping for her first time at age 81 years with her grandson, Adam, and great-grandson, Nikk. She liked to take at least one major trip per summer, enjoying Glacier Park and Magruder Corridor in recent summers.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she took great care of her friends and love ones by passing on her impeccable wisdom and sharing her life experiences. One of her favorite sayings was, "You can change anybody's day just by smiling." And she lived by that motto.
Fran's life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Garden City Funeral Home, 1705 W. Broadway. She will join her husband Frank at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A private graveside ceremony will take place at a later date.
