– Floyd Eugene Brady, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at his home near St. Regis. He was born February 13, 1935, to Clyde and Katie (Walters) Brady and was one of 5 siblings who worked the family farm near Baskin Louisiana. While still a teenager he joined the Navy, and was fortunate to serve on the USS Bryce Canyon (AD-36) with two of his brothers. He married Virginia (Ginger) Anita Spink in 1957 and together they had 5 boys.
After the Navy, Floyd and Ginger lived in California, Louisiana, and eventually settled in Gingers home state of Montana. Floyd provided for his family by working hard physical labor jobs his entire life. From farming, stringing power lines, building roads and bridges, and logging, he never passed an opportunity to utilize his physical strength and determination. When he wasn’t working, he was either helping a friend building something, hunting, fishing, or planning his next great adventure. After retiring from the lumber industry, Floyd designed and built, with Gingers help, their dream home and garage/workshop where he enjoyed life with Ginger until his passing.
Floyd was preceded in death by his father Clyde and his mother Katie, his brother Terrell and sister Terry. Surviving are his wife Ginger, their sons, Paul of Missoula, Ted of (Billings), Dave (wife Nancy) of Fairbanks Alaska, Roy of Missoula, and Duncan (wife Tammy) of Gurley Alabama, 6 grandchildren TJ, Katie, Timothy, Emily, Chase and Jacob, 3 great grandchildren, his brothers Gerald and Buford of Baskin Louisiana, and many nieces and nephews.
A family memorial service will be held at a time and location to be determined.
