Obituary for Everett Nelson

Everett was born to Alice and William Nelson on October 20, 1928 in Spokane Washington and went to the Lord on January 17, 2014.
At a young age his family moved from the Spokane/Davenport area to St. Ignatius where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Army in 1954 and after being stationed in Germany was discharged in 1956. Upon returning to St Ignatius he married Martha Fe Trickey (Tina) on December 28, 1957. They moved from St Ignatius to Missoula where Everett worked at the pulp mill until his retirement after 30 plus years.
Everett had a green thumb and was able to grow anything. He loved being out in his garden during warm weather and in the winter would be the garage working on a woodworking project. Everett loved music, every Wednesday in the summer he would go to Bonner park for the music and would attend numerous concerts when the Chorale festival was being held. Everett loved to travel and took tours to Australia, Mexico and New England. He would love to take day trips just to see the country side.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents, sister Virene, Martha (Tina) and daughter Carol.
Survivors are his children, Karen (John) Rhines, Sidney Montana, Lori (Tim) Thompson Pasco WA, and Mark Nelson, Missoula and his grandchildren, Tina Thompson (Spokane), Jeremy Rhines (Sidney) and Jeffrey Thompson (Pasco). Also surviving are two wonderful ladies, Donelda Nelson (Fallon, NV) and Mary Nelson (Missoula), and their families who shared his life with his children.
At his request no services will be held. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
