Evelyn Marie Cote (Evie), 75 of Missoula entered into eternity on Monday, August 23rd at St. Patrick’s hospital after a courageous fight from complications after lung cancer surgery.
Evelyn was born on September 11, 1945 at St. Andrew’s Hospital in Bottineau, North Dakota. She was the daughter of George and Mable Moussette.
Evelyn met the love of her life, Kenneth Cote of Willow City, ND. They were married on August 13, 1963. The couple just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Evie had a vibrant, caring personality and was full of life. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need. She lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all she has touched.
Evie had a great passion for reading. She loved “her library” time, making several trips a week to the public library. She was so excited when the new public library was built.
Evie loved feeling the sun on her shoulders and praying the rosary. She loved talking to her grandkids on the phone, saying it made her life full. She was an animal lover who got great joy from all of her pets.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents George and Mable Moussette, two brothers, Joseph and Duane, a sister, Beverly Ann and great granddaughter, Lia Grace Entringer.
Remaining loved ones include her husband, Ken, Missoula; her three daughters, Angela (Walt) Jones, Lolo; Kristy (Rodney) Corntassel, Missoula; Stacie (Jason) Joseph, Fort Collins, CO; and two sisters, Ileen Moen, Rugby, ND; Mary Lou Wenstad, Northfield, MN along with 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna (Jake), Bradley (Taylor), Matthew, Bethanie, Kassidie, Courtnie and 2 great grandchildren Ava and Eli.
The Holy Rosary will be prayed at St. Francis Xavier Church on Friday August 27, 2021 at 7 PM.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday August 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church.
The family requests all in attendance to please wear masks.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation to the Missoula Public Library in Evelyn’s name.
