Erik Glenn Knudson

Erik Glenn Knudson entered this Big Sky Country on January 27, 1965 in Superior, MT at Mineral Co. Hospital, a son was born to Vicki Gates Knudson and Edward C. Knudson. He was two months early and came out screaming to get on with his short life, which ended on April 28th at his home.
He went to school in Saltese, St. Regis, Superior and Gabbs, NV. He also attended Missoula Vo Tech for a while and Heavy Diesel Repair school in Phoenix, AZ. He was a great mechanic (High Performance) and was crew chief on two stock cars, he and his step-father Doug and friends built for Pablo Raceway and Kalispell Race Park for 7 years. What an exciting family endeavor. He won many trophies and championships. One of the high lights of his life was realizing his dream of drag racing his Mustang. He loved fast cars and motorcycles.
He was a very caring and loving man. He and his mother were rocks, buddies and best friends. He was always very affectionate and grateful constantly saying, "thank you" and "I love you". He will be missed every moment.
Erik was predeceased by his aunt Glenna Magera.
He is survived by his mother Vicki, his step-dad Doug Moeller, Uncle Jon Gates (Ruth) of Florence, Terry (Martha) Gates of Kalispell, Aunt Cheryl of Charleston, SC and many cousins and friends. His two cats Blackie and Callie and his dog, Bear.
My son, you were the best. I hope you are out of pain and meeting Grandma and Grandpa Gates.
A visitation will be held on Wed. May 6, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m. at Garden City Funeral Home.
