Emma Murriel Mattson Williams

- Emma Murriel Mattson Williams, 83, of Missoula, Passed peacefully September 29, 2015 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born June 8, 1932 to Clarence Charles and Doratha Mattson in Poplar, ID.
Emma, along with her parents, moved to Montana in 1953. On August 27, 1955 Emma married Dwayne Charles Williams in Stevensville, MT. The couple lived their lives in Hamilton and Missoula, MT
She was a loving wife and mother. Emma enjoyed her home, yard and flower beds. She had a zest for life, enjoying many adventures with her family especially her kids who were her love and joy. On many occasions she could be seen doing things you wouldn't expect like racing her daughter-in-law on a snowmobile, or riding in a dog sled pulled by her son on a four wheeler, or floating in the river on a pontoon. Emma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Emma was preceded in death by her father Clarence Charles Mattson, Mother Doratha Mattson, Brother Gordon Charles Mattson, and very special friend Rhonna Cowan Sweeny.
Emma is survived by her sons Jeff (Cheryl) and Danny Williams Missoula, MT; Brother Lee (Beth) Mattson Coeur d'Alene, ID; Sisters Joyce (Vince) Hamm Coeur d'Alene ID; Gladys (Jerry) Schaum Spokane, WA; JoAnn (John) Lee Spokane, WA; Susan Mattson Carson City, NV; Shanna (Robert) Coffman; Missoula, MT, and several nieces, nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Missoula, MT Saturday October 17th 2015 with reception to follow. Messages of Condolences may be left at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com
