Obituary for Emma Lowe

CLINTON - Emma E. Lowe, 94, born September. 6, 1914, in Winnifred, and passed away Saturday, January. 3, 2009.





Emma lived in Lewistown, prior to moving to Missoula in 1948.





She was preceded in death by her husband Noel W. Lowe in 1986. Emma is the sole survivor of four brothers, Arthur, Charles, Anton and Frank Washek; and three sisters, Bessie Merritt, Mary Rich and Lydia Kennedy.





She is the mother to seven children, Joyce (George) Maass of Corvallis, E.M. (Jo) DeMers of Missoula, Alvina (Don) Zimmerman of McMinnville, Ore., Ed Lowe of Missoula, David (Karen) Lowe of Corvallis, Ore., Rose (Art) Rice of Gresham, Ore. and Melvin (Lorraine) Lowe of Salem, Ore.





Emma was cared for at the home of granddaughter Sharon DeMers for the last three and half years of her life. We want to thank Partners in Home Care, Progressive Personal Care, Northwest Home Care, Norco Medical Supplies, Hospice of Missoula, and her personal physician Dr. Clare Brownlee and nurses for all their care and assistance.





Viewing will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January. 8, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January. 9, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the funeral home, followed by burial at Missoula City Cemetery.
