Elsie L. Ross

– Elsie Lillian Ross of Missoula, passed peacefully at Edgewood Vista on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was born near Poplar on Aug. 24, 1930. Elsie graduated from Poplar High. She met her future husband, Marvin D. Ross, while attending Northern Montana College in Havre. They married Sept. 6, 1953. They were married more than 57 years until Marvin's death April 17, 2011. Elsie and Marvin had two sons, Leonard E. Ross (wife Vicki) of Corvallis and Robert C. Ross (wife Carol) of Bonner; and one grandson, Jeffery Ross of East Helena.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Travis; brother, Edward Travis; brother, Robert Travis; and sister, Lois Moes. She is survived by her sons, Leonard and Robert and grandson Jeffrey; sister, Clara Turner of Wolf Point; brother, Richard Travis of Great Falls; and brother, Larry Travis of Billings.

Elsie and Marvin belonged to the Orchard Homes Country Life Club and had many fond memories of dances, potlucks and craft fairs.

At the request of Marvin and Elsie, there will be no funeral services. Cremation and interment was at Sunset Memorial.
