Elvira Maria Ramos 83, passed away peacefully in her home on July 26 , 2016.
She was born in Aschaffenburg , Germany on May 6,1933 to Ludwig and Katarina Albert. She was known to many as “Elly” .
She followed in her parents’ footsteps, learning how to cook and garden, having one of the most beautiful gardens in Missoula and owning and operating Paul’s Pancake Parlor for many years. She spent much love and affection on her family, which included 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Women’s Club, which earned her many friends, and the strength and physique of a much younger woman.
Being a survivor of WWII, she literally rose from the dirt and rubble of a bombed out basement to the grandeur of a pink and gold bathroom in a beautiful rock arched home.
Elly loved her animals, often taking over care when their owners moved out of the house. She also loved her music and could be seen on many a weekend night waltzing or two stepping to a country tune. Traveling was also high on her list, Hawaii being one of her favorite places.
Former husband Tony Ramos and former husband Bob Sparr precede her in death.
Her children, Maria Ramos, Pia Montana, Toni Zak and Mike Ramos, Missoula, and Michael Gourley, Illinois, survive her. Survivors also include her grandchildren Saesha, Katrina, Rachel, Tyler, Thomas, Ryan, Ethan and Keysha, and great grand children, Josh, Spencer, Jayden and Jude.
Service is to be held at St. Anthony church at 11:00A.M. Tuesday August 2, 2016 with reception following at the Eagles Lodge on South Ave.
