Elizabeth Ann Johnston, (Ann), 79, of Missoula passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at home with her loving husband Ron Johnston and relatives at her side.
Ann was born on March 15, 1936, to the parents of Harvey and Elizabeth Robe in Santa Barbara, California. As a young girl, she lived the outdoor life, she enjoyed camping and hiking, as her father advanced his career in the U.S. Forest Service. Ann's dad accepted a job transfer and the family relocated to the East Coast, where Ann graduated in 1954 from Falls Church High School in Virginia. Ann's family then moved back to the western part of the United States.
After attending beauty school in Missoula, Ann's path crossed with Ron Johnston, also of Missoula. Ann and Ron were married in June 1963 and their love of 53 years blossomed. In early September of 1965, Ann and Ron were blessed with the birth of their cherished son Ronnie.
Ann's heart focused on her memories of family and trips; such as taking Ronnie to Disneyland and visits with her parent's at different locations. Ann loved being a mother.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Elizabeth Robe; her sister Sissey Schuman and her beloved son Ronnie. Ann is survived by her devoted husband Ron; her brother Harvey Robe; 10 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews residing across the United States.
A service will be held Friday, March 4, at 7 p.m. at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church located at 1475 Eaton St., Missoula. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 7, at St. Mary's Cemetery.
