Elfriede Prison, our loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, to joyously join her parents, sisters and son. Elfriede was born July 22, 1921, in Manheim, Germany, to Heinrich Albert Deininger and Lina Katharina Gehrig. She was the youngest of seven girls. She married Horst Prison.
Elfriede was kind and loving and always serving others. She and Horst served several years in the St. George Latter-day Saints temple as ordinance workers, and served and LDS mission.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna, Marie, Elisabeth, Lina, Paula and Helen; her parents; and one grandson, Brandon John Prison.
She is survived by her husband, Horst Prison; children, Iris Johnson, Noel Prison, Cherry Prison, Peter Prison, John Prison and Susan Porter; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Much appreciation and gratitude to Cherry Prison, for all the care and loving service she gave to her mother.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Frenchtown LDS Church, 16044 Frenchtown Frontage Road.
