Elaine Faye Seeley Wallace, 86, of Missoula passed away on Tuesday, July 6 at St. Patrick Hospital of cardiac complications.
Born on March 21, 1935 to Charles and Pirl Seeley in Matheson, CO, she spent her younger years in Brush, CO. In 1954 she married Robert Eugene Wallce of Akron, CO where they began their young family. Later they moved to Newport News, VA by way of Long Island, NY, and in the early 1990s they moved to Montana where Elaine ran a ceramics business in Whitlash, MT. Elaine and Bob eventually settled in Turah and Elaine obtained her bachelor’s degree and worked at the University of Montana as a professor in Computer Science.
She and Bob were active members at Christian Assembly Foursquare serving as elders and counselors and also at New Life Worship Center. Their lives were fulfilled with rafting trips, card parties, horseback riding, quilting, ceramics and musical gatherings.
Bob passed in 2016 after 66 years of marriage. Elaine sold their home in Turah and moved to a condo in Missoula. There she was active with the Missoula Senior Center where she met her end-of-life friend, Robert Schurr. They spent the next 4 years together enjoying concerts, card playing, dances, trips, and dinners with friends and families.
Survivors include Elaine’s son, Robert Duane (Karla) Wallace of MT and her daughter Kathy Lynn (Pete) Troeger of FL along with 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life casual gathering is Sunday, July 25 from 2-4 pm hosted at The Sanctuary Church building at 2415 Arcadia Street. Family and friends are encouraged to bring pictures, memories, and stories to share. With love and laughter we will celebrate this woman called Elaine.
