Edward H. Dowse, 68, passed away of natural causes at St. Patrick Hospital on Mon. Jan. 19th.
Edward was born on Dec. 22, 1946 in Oil City, PA to Delmar Dowse and Marylou (Soke) Dowse. After completing high school, he joined the Marines and was enlisted from 1965 to 1971. He was a lifelong truck driver and he also worked for Missoula Ready Mix. He enjoyed working on cars, four wheeling, camping and target practice. He was a major part of the Frenchtown High School Symposium about Vietnam in which Edward would speak about his personal experiences in Vietnam and have a question and answer session with the high school students. He did this once a year for four years and enjoyed sharing and helping students.
Edward is survived by his wife Sandra Dowse, son Edward A.M. Dowse, step-daughters Shannon Scott and Denya Dowse, granddaughter Megan Dowse and numerous cousin in Erie, PA.
A graveside service will be held on Wed. Jan. 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the Western Montana state Veterans Cemetery located at 1911 Tower St. Missoula; with full military honors.
