Louise was born in Missoula on Feb. 4, 1939. She was the first of two children born to Hubert and Frances Hansen. She was raised in Missoula and graduated from Missoula County High School, and later went on to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

After retiring from the Human Resource Council after over 40 years of service in 2009, she remained an active board member and consultant.

A loving mother, grandmother and friend, she most enjoyed spending time with loved ones. She was always on the go and enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. She was devoted to her pets and was an avid supporter of AniMeals and the Humane Society. Her generosity will be missed by the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Hansen. Survivors include sons, Bryan (Wendy) Kolppa of Anacortes, Washington, and Eric (Pamela) Kolppa of Missoula; grandchildren, Bryana (Boris) Kolppa of Seattle, Alex Kolppa of Seattle and Brielle and Shau Kolppa of Missoula; two great-grandchildren; a large extended family and numerous close friends and neighbors.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, from noon to 5 p.m. at Garden City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at Garden City Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Missoula City Cemetery.
