Dwayne C. Williams, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his residence in Missoula. He was born on March 23, 1932 in Sargent, Nebraska the son of Charles R. and Lola May (Patch) Williams.
Dwayne served in the United States Army from November 21, 1952 to November 5th 1954.
Dwayne worked as a heavy equipment operator in the lumber industry for Intermountain Lumber, Champion International, and Stimpson Lumber.
On August 27, 1955 Dwayne married Emma Murriel Mattson in Stevensville Montana and began their life together in Hamilton, Montana. In 1957 the couple moved to Missoula, Montana in 1969 they welcomed their first son Jeffery C. Williams into the world followed by their second son Danny R. Williams in 1971.
Dwayne avidly enjoyed working in his garden, took great pride in his yard work, and enjoyed reading his western books.
Dwayne was preceded in death by parents Charles R. Williams, and Lola May Patch Williams, sister Verleen Sams and brother Vern Williams.
Dwayne is survived by his wife Emma Murriel Mattson Williams, sons Jeffery C. Williams (wife) Cheryl, and Danny R. Williams, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 7405 Mullan Rd, Missoula, MT. A private inurnment will follow at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
