Douglas R. Sellner, 58 of Missoula MT. passed away on November 21, 2024.
Doug was born on August 2,1966 to Raymond and Delores Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. As a boy some of Doug's favorite pastimes were video games and playing football. Doug went on to play football in high school at Saint Mary's catholic school in Sleepy Eye, MN where he went on to graduate in 1984. Doug also grew up with three sisters, Deborah Sellner Booze of Windom, MN. Chandra Sellner Krenz and her husband Mark of Sleepy Eye, MN. and Stacy Sellner Walter and her husband Jeffrey of Granit Falls, MN.
In 1986 Doug married Linda Mattson and had three daughters. Vannesa Sellner Normandin and her husband Brad of Winona, MN. Shanice Sellner of Sleepy Eye, MN. Shaylene Sellner and her sons Aaron and Zayden also of Sleepy Eye, MN. In 1997 Doug moved to St. Peter, MN. where he worked as an Assistant Manager in several grocery stores and as a delivery specialist for Sara Lee. His favorite position was working as a Custodial Engineer in Saint Peter, MN. where he also had the opportunity to mentor young adults and was recognized by the local paper on the great work he did.
Doug loved the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed his Sunday football. Doug was also a Minnesota Wild fan and attended hockey games and his Minnesota Twins. When Doug moved to Montana, he also became a big fan of University of Montana Grizzlies. Besides sports he always enjoyed being with family and friends for a great meal of a beer at the local watering hole.
In 2015 he met his brown eyed bride online. Colleen Underwood of Missoula Montana became the love of his life and married her in an outdoor ceremony on July 14, 2018. Doug and Colleen shared no children but shared their combined children and grandchildren. Colleen has three grown children, a daughter Catie and her husband Cody Armstong and their children Adam, Ethan, and five-year-old twins Aidan and Everly. A son Curtis Wilson and his wife Dani and their children Curtis III, Aurora, and James. And her youngest daughter Stephanie Wilson all of Missoula, MT.
Doug loved his grandchildren, hosting sleepovers, ice cream, and riding dirt bikes. Driving his son in laws Camaro and going on a cruise to Alaska where some of the things this wonderful man enjoyed.
Doug worked in Stevensville, MT. where Doug had another family. Doug and his wife would like to thank this family for all the support, time, and love you gave them in this battle he fought so bravely. Doug trusted that God had a purpose for him and never wavered in his faith.
Thank you Everyone for your kindness and loving this man and making him an honorary Montanan. He will be missed...greatly.
