Douglas Howard Juhola, 72, of Missoula Montana passed away on March 13th.
He was born in Bismark, North Dakota to Ray & Helen Juhola on December 27, 1943.
He was raised in Linton, ND where he graduated from Linton High School.
He went to North Dakota State University for a year, then enlisted in the Navy where he served on the USS Yorktown as an Aviation Electronics Technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class.
After his time in the Navy he completed a technical degree in electronics at North Dakota State School of Science and was later hired at National Cash Register.
He married Donna on February 14th, 1970 and they enjoyed meeting new friends in many of the places they lived including: Colorado, Washington, New York, England, and Montana.
He was very proud of his Finnish heritage and active with Marriage Encounter, Stephen Ministry, and enjoyed tennis, skiing and recumbent bicycle riding.
He is survived by his wife Donna, his four children and their families, Jill (Ron) McIntire, Jane (Daniel) Bettis, Pauli (Ronna Jean) Juhola, Michael Juhola and five grandchildren, Cody McIntire, Christopher Bettis, Daniel Bettis, Brian Bettis, and Niko Juhola. He is also survived by his brothers Donald, Jack and Kirby and sisters Pat and Judy.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at Missoula Alliance Church, 100 E Foss Court, on Tuesday March 22nd, at 3:00pm with a reception following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Camp Mak A Dream at www.campdream.org
Cremation is under the care of Garden City Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com
